PC60B-7 Albright 48V DC PCB Mount SPST Solenoid - Intermittent 80A

 Albright PC60B-7, 48 Volts DC single-pole, single-throw (SPST) series miniature single-acting solenoid contactor with magnetic blowouts, intermittent. The unit has an M4 mounting bolt and is designed for printed circuit board mounting.

• The PC60B is a miniature series single-pole, single-throw contactor designed for printed circuit board mounting.
• Devised for both interrupted and uninterrupted loads, the PC60B is suitable for switching Resistive, Capacitive and Inductive loads.
• Typical applications include Telecommunication, UPS and other power conversion systems.
• All the contactors are manufactured to a very high standard and employ the best quality materials: phenolic contact housings, Silver-alloy contacts and class H (180℃) winding wire for the coils.
• Repair kit: not available on this unit.
• The centre mounting screw is M4 x 8mm long.

About Intermittent (INT.) PC60B Contactors

 Intermittent contactors, by design, are predominantly used for hydraulic functions on vehicles; they make and break quicker than continuous solenoids and are not recommended for prolonged contact periods.

 The PC60B features single pole double-breaking main contacts with Silver-alloy tips, which are weld resistant, hardwearing and have excellent conductivity. The PC60 can be secured to the printed circuit board by means of an M4 bolt.

Magnetic Blowouts

 These contactors are of double break configuration and are fitted with magnetic blowouts (denoted by the 'B' suffix in the PC60B range) across both contact gaps. These enable high currents to be ruptured very quickly so that arcing time is reduced to a minimum. The fitting of blowouts makes the contacts polarity sensitive, and the Positive markings on the top cover of the contactor must be observed.

Installation

• To accommodate the PC Contactors, printed circuit boards should be drilled in accordance with the mounting details in the attached image (mounting details).
• Prior to soldering, the PC60B can be secured to the circuit board by means of an M4 bolt that protrudes from the underside of the contactor.
• If the full current ratings of the contactors are to be utilised, circuit board tracks should have the appropriate thickness and width of copper.
• Conventional hand or wave soldering techniques can be used.
