Durite 7mm² (9 AWG) 57A thin wall automotive cables from Arc Components Ltd have replaced standard automotive electric cables in many low voltage applications. With 97 strands at 0.30mm copper wire construction and an overall diameter of 5.10mm, the current load capacity increases to 57 Amps continuous use. The hard PVC coating reduces the wire's overall weight and volume, reducing the weight of modern-day electrical looms and wiring harnesses. The harder-than-standard cable PVC sheath gives good overall resistance to petrol, diesel and lubricating oils.
