 Durite 0-477-07, 24 to 12 Volts DC caravan and trailer lighting converter.

  • Input 24VDC, 7-Pin plug - 24N (24V, Normal).
  • Output 12VDC 7-Pin socket - 12N (12V, Normal).
  • Maximum load of 60 Watts per line.
  • Allows a 12 Volts trailer to be powered from a 24 Volts tractor or a 24VDC system industrial vehicle unit.

 Because the 24N and 12N connectors do not have all the same functions, only the functions common to both are connected through and voltage converted; these are stop, tail, indicator and common return.

About The 12N (Normal) Plug Connector

 The Durite 12N (12VDC Normal) metal plug connector is manufactured to ISO 1724 specifications for basic caravan and trailer lighting. The connector is a standalone vehicle light connector and fits into a 12N socket. The unit is often used alongside the later 12S connector, which is utilised for extended auxiliary functions.
